Safety in Action: Kemubu Hydropower Project Successfully Completes DOSH-Observed Emergency Rescue Drill

        Safety is the cornerstone of sustainable overseas operations. As the company's first hydropower project in Malaysia, the Kemubu Hydropower Project has, since its commencement, strictly adhered to local safety regulations and international construction standards. Through high-standard compliance and refined safety management, the project has steadily advanced its localized operations. To further reinforce safety in water-related operations and enhance emergency response capabilities, the project team successfully conducted a Man Overboard Emergency Rescue Drill on 22 July 2026, while hosting an on-site observation by the Director of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) of Kelantan and his delegation. Following the exercise, the DOSH Director personally presented the project team with a Commemorative Trophy in recognition of the event and highly commended both the effectiveness of the drill and the project's outstanding safety management practices.
        The exercise was well organized and executed with excellent coordination. The opening ceremony was held at 9:00 a.m. at the project camp, attended by the project management team and all local work crews. Chinese and Bangladeshi personnel worked closely together throughout the preparation and implementation of the exercise. To maximize operational efficiency, the project team strategically relocated the drill site to a tributary of the Dabong River, ensuring a realistic rescue scenario while minimizing any impact on construction progress. This demonstrated the project's ability to maintain both construction productivity and high safety standards through refined and efficient overseas project management. 
        During the drill, professional officers from the Dabong Fire and Rescue Department were invited to provide on-site guidance. The exercise was conducted in strict accordance with Malaysian safety regulations and focused on key emergency response procedures, including man-overboard search and rescue, emergency activation, and on-site incident management. All participants responded quickly, followed standard operating procedures, and worked together seamlessly to complete every stage of the emergency response. The drill comprehensively validated the project's emergency rescue system and safety management mechanisms for water-based operations, earning unanimous praise from the observing officials
        The observation visit also served as an important opportunity for the project to demonstrate its commitment to complying with Malaysian regulatory requirements while showcasing the company's overall capabilities. As the company's flagship hydropower project in Malaysia, the Kemubu Hydropower Project has consistently embraced the principles of compliance, standardization, and localization. Leveraging the flexibility and efficiency of a private enterprise, the project continues to integrate into the local market through high-quality construction standards, striving to establish itself as a benchmark for overseas engineering excellence.
         The official recognition from DOSH not only reflects the local authorities' confidence in the project's safety management and execution capabilities but also lays a solid foundation for the company's continued expansion in Malaysia and the broader Southeast Asian market. Moving forward, the project will remain committed to upholding the highest safety standards, continuously improving its management practices, and delivering excellence in project execution.
