Wandong Hydropower Station is located in Detuo Township, Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is the 2nd cascade hydropower Station in the three-cascade development plan of the main stream of Wandong River. It is in a low-gate diversion conduit type development, with the design water head of 780 m, the designer flow of 8.8m³/s,and the installed capacity of 60 MW. The project was started in March 2014 and completed in December 2019.

The installed capacity of Wandong Hydropower Station is 60 MW, the water head is 780m, the seismic intensity is up to 9 degrees, and the ground water is devel oped with hig htemperature. In our design, 50 m deep anti-slide pile is used to treat the slope, and corrugated pipe which can adapt to the deformation of more than 10 cm is used to ensure the safety ofpermanent structures in high seismic intensity area.
