Signing of Framework Agreement of KIBOMBO Project (DRC)
On August 25, our subsidiary Huafei Yijiang Hydropower Resource Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huafei Yijiang") and Energy China Group International Engineering Co., Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as "Energy China International") held a ceremony in
Leaders of the parties attended the ceremony, including Zhou Yuefei, Chairman and President of the company, Huang Zhongxin, Vice President and General Manager of Huafei Yijiang, Lei Yunbiao, Vice President, Yang Yisheng, General Manager of Energy China International, Deng Jianhua, Deputy General Manager, Li Yaming, Deputy Chief Engineer and General Manager of Investment Business Department, and Yan Maochun, Chief Investment Officer. In addition, Zhang Limin, Executive General Manager of Overseas Business Department of China Water Resources Beifang Investigation, Design and Research Co. Ltd., the design organization of KIBOMBO Hydropower Plant Project (hereinafter referred to as "the Project"), was invited to attend the ceremony, and other relevant persons in charge of the Project of Energy China International also attended the ceremony.
Prior to the signing ceremony, the two parties held a symposium to inform each other of their work progress in the project development, and exchanged views in details and reached broad consensus on the further cooperation in the project development. After the symposium, Chairman Zhou Yuefei and General Manager Yang Yisheng signed the aforementioned cooperation agreement.
As the first cascade power plant planned in the river basin, KIBOMBO Hydropower Plant Project is located in the upper reach of Inkisi River in the Congo (DRC), about 18 km from the border between Congo (DRC) and Angola along the river, with an installed capacity of 240 MW.
