On December 14, 2018, Sichuan Huafei Energy Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CHFE”) and the Congo (Golden Energy and Water Resources) Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the development of hydropower in the INKISI River and LUVUA River Basin. According to the terms and conditions, CHFE will set up a representative office in Kinshasa, the capital of the DRC, to carry out preliminary work on the development of the INKISI River and the LUVUA River.
On February 21, CHFE officially submitted an approval application to the Ministry of Commerce, after passing the strict approval review process of the Ministry of Commerce. On April 11th, with the authorization of the Ministry of Commerce, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce issued the “Enterprise Overseas Agency Certificate” to CHFE. At this point, the CHFE Congo (Kinshasa) representative office was officially approved.
