Laos Nam Hinboun Downstream Hydropower Station

Nam Hinboun Hydropower Station is located in Nam Hinboun Basin, Hinboun District, Khammouan Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic, with the design water head of 4.9 m, the designer flow of 354m³ /s, and the installed capacity of 15 MW. The project was started in October 2016 and completed in November 2019.Nam Hinboun Hydropower Station is provided with a typical bulb tubular unit with large flow and low head. Through the optimization of the scheme, the open diversion channel and tailrace channel are combined to significantly save the project investment for the employer on the premise of ensuring the project quality.
